Mini USA president Jim McDowell is my new hero.  Seriously, this guy clanks when he walks – if you get my drift.  Mr. McDowell, formerly of Porsche, has ‘called out’ Porsche is a MAJOR way – challenging Porsche’s president to a race at Road Atlanta on June 21st.  A 172hp Cooper S vs. a 385hp Porsche 911?  Mini has to have something up their sleeve.  They’ve gone so far to start a massive facebook campaign (http://facebook.com/miniusa) as well as take out a full page ad in the New York Times to try and push Porsche to defend themselves.  The best part – Porsche is considering it!  If this actually comes to be, I’m going to try and use my press connections with the radio station to attend and cover the event.  Check out the video challenge…
