Alfa Romeo is back in the States with it’s little 500 model. While I like the 500, and it’s upcoming Abarth version should be a blast, there’s a lot of rumors pointing to Alfa producing a Miata competitor. First off, if Alfa doesn’t call it a ‘Spider’, they’re idiots. The Alpha Spiders of the past are just plain gorgeous and much loved by the auto community. Second, power is expected from Fiat’s 1.7 liter 4, complete with a turbo. Third, they’ve already done a concept car with a body by Pininfarina called the 2uettottanta ‘concept’. I think this car is downright sexy, and would do the Spider name proud.
